Sibles plans start of pulp mill in 2022

Russian company Sibirskiy Les (Sibles) has announced it intends to start up its new pulp mill in Krasnoyarsk in 2022.

The facility will be able to produce 930,000 tpy of bleached pulp and will cost roughly €1.5bn.

The company says it does not expect to utilise government funds. The investor believes that only proprietary funds and credit from banks in Russia, Asia and the EU would be used. The project is expected to create 730 new jobs.
