Saica Natur, the recycling arm of Spanish Saica Group, is expanding its recycling activities in Spain. The packaging group announced the takeover of waste management and collection company Ecovidal-Miguel Vidal e Hijos in the Madrid region.
Ecovidal collects and recycles 53,000 t of wastes annually. The vast majority of this (92 per cent) is paper and board. The company has a warehouse spanning almost 16,000 m², employs 25 people and had an annual turnover of €10m in 2022. Ecovidal has been supplying recoverd paper to Saica’s paper mills for more than 40 years. Now, the compay is incorporated into the group.
Saica Natur operates more than 40 sites in Spain, Portugal, France and the UK. Besides Saica Natur, the Saica group also operates the business areas of Saica Paper (corrugated case material), Saica Pack (corrugated packaging) and Saica Flex (flexible packaging).
