In reaction to ongoing difficult trading conditions on the global pulp markets, Canfor is extending the curtailment at its BCTMP mill in Taylor, British Columbia.
In expectation of ongoing weak conditions on the global pulp market, Canadian pulp manufacturer Canfor will be extending the curtailment at its BCTMP mill by a further five weeks to 9 September 2019.
The company had earlier announced it was taking phased summer curtailments at its Intercontinental and Northwood NBSK pulp mills in Prince George, BC, as well as at its BCTMP mill in Taylor, BC.
Combined, the summer curtailments will reduce pulp production by an estimated 75,000 tonnes of NBSK pulp and 50,000 tonnes of BCTMP.
