German fine paper prices continue to decline

Kraftliner prices show signs of stabilisation in June

The direction in which prices for fine paper in Germany have been moving for months has not changed in June, they continue to go down. Paper producers are trying to stop prices from falling further and are continuing to cut production. However, this has not yet stabilised the market.

For brown kraftliner, however, there are signs of a stabilisation of prices for the current month, although some buyers had hoped for further reductions here as well. The fact that not all companies in the corrugated board industry have conducted further price negotiations is said to have been a decisive factor. In the market for corrugated board in Germany, there have recently been signs of a slight upturn in orders, but there is still no real return of the market or a normalisation....
